Egg Hatching
The Hatchery offers incubators or surrogate volucre parents to care for eggs you might find on your travels. In addition, Hatchery trainers will help your handler and volucre learn the ins and outs of caring for a nest if you wish to hatch your egg at home.
Egg Hatching Rules:
The egg must be present in your cache in order for it to be rolled.
Each egg is rolled random by rarity using the egg roller found here.
Each egg will contain two starters in its lineage unless otherwise stated.
No prompt is required to hatch an egg, but doing so will yield slightly better results.
Egg Hatching Prompt:
If you wish to increase the likelihood of your egg containing a rarer chick, you can complete a hatching prompt. This prompt is optional, and needs to be fullbody, colored, with a simple scenic background in visual art, 800 words minimum for literature. Companion is optional. Artwork and literature must meet the art standards.
Prompt One: "Who left this here?" Depict your volucre's reaction to finding the egg. Do they try to return it home? Do they panic? Do they instantly decide to keep the egg for themselves?
Prompt Two: "Welp, I guess this is mine now." Depict your volucre caring for the egg. This can include making a nest, incubating, or watching over the egg in the incubator.
